Food & Beverage Captain

About the role

The Food & Beverage Captain will lead service in a hotel outlet, delivering courteous, professional and efficient service that aligns with Kempinski’s standards and values. The role focuses on enhancing guest satisfaction, driving sales, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend, take orders and serve food and beverages to guests.
• Answer guest questions and handle requests promptly and politely.
• Monitor inventory, manage waste reduction and perform cash handling duties.
• Execute outlet opening and closing procedures, including routine cleaning.
• Ensure compliance with food and beverage safety, HACCP and health‑and‑safety policies.
• Lead the service team, act as a role model and maintain flawless service standards.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Warm, pleasant, friendly and confident with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar restaurant or café role.

Required skills

• Familiarity with HACCP requirements.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules and procedures.
• Cash handling.
• Inventory management.
