Group Accountant

About the role

The Group Accountant will lead the preparation and consolidation of the company’s financial statements across all subsidiaries. This role ensures accurate, timely reporting in line with accounting standards and supports the finance team in delivering insightful analysis for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the group.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries to ensure consistent accounting treatment and resolve intercompany discrepancies.
• Perform consolidation, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
• Oversee construction project accounting, monitoring cost and revenue recognition, work‑in‑progress and profitability.
• Produce management reports, variance analysis and financial forecasts to support senior management.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process and track performance against targets.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, liaise with external auditors and support audit and tax filings.
• Maintain and improve internal control systems and finance processes.
• Guide finance team members across subsidiaries, promoting consistent application of policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering or project‑based environments.
• Proven experience in group consolidation and project accounting.
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership abilities.

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
