Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Engineer will join the operations team to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our data‑center environment. You will monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and work closely with vendors and product teams to deliver lasting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, capacity, and error logs; fine‑tune configurations as needed.
• Troubleshoot incidents, apply hot‑fixes/patches, and coordinate with vendors for permanent resolutions.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base documentation and operational runbooks.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting to prevent issue recurrence.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for automation, optimization, and performance improvements.
• Provide support for hardware and infrastructure issues escalated from the customer team.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience building and deploying data‑center infrastructure.
• Experience with Hyper‑V, Windows Server, RHEL, CyberArk PAM, and Veeam backup solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of ITIL change and incident management processes.

Required skills

• Hyper‑V cluster setup, vNIC and vSwitch configuration.
• CIS hardening for Windows Server 2022 Datacenter and RHEL.
• Group Policy Object (GPO) deployment.
• AWS cloud services.
• ITIL incident and change management.
• Networking fundamentals: IP addressing, routing, VLANs.
• BMC Control‑M (preferred).
• Firewall rule implementation and network switch support.
