Jacking Machine Operator

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Jacking Machine Operator to run micro tunnel boring machines (Rasa / Iseiki) across Singapore projects. The role involves safe, technical and economical operation of pipe jacking equipment while meeting project schedules and parameters.

Key responsibilities

• Operate micro tunnel boring and pipe jacking machines under varying ground conditions according to tunnelling parameters.
• Control the machine from the control room, ensuring safe and economical execution within approved schedules.
• Mobilise and de‑mobilise pipe jacking operations, performing preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Inspect cutterheads and tools during drives and manage emergency situations within the TBM.
• Prepare operational reports and daily activity logs, and promote a safety culture by identifying hazards.
• Ensure compliance with project parameters and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to facilitate smooth operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of specialised experience with pipe jacking machines or micro‑tunnelling.
• Relevant experience in tunnelling, pipe jacking and pipe laying within construction or civil‑engineering projects.
• Experience in DB works and supervision of similar‑scale projects is advantageous.
• Demonstrated understanding of steering and control of micro‑tunnelling machines.
