Lean Construction Engineer

About the role

Lean Finder Consulting (LFC) is seeking a hands‑on Lean Construction Engineer to join its Singapore team. This site‑based position will work directly with contractors, project managers and trade partners to embed Lean principles on live building and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout of Lean Construction practices on active construction sites.
• Facilitate Pull Planning, Last Planner System (LPS), Look‑ahead Planning, weekly work planning and daily huddles.
• Identify constraints, improve handovers and strengthen workflow reliability with site teams.
• Lead planning and problem‑solving workshops for engineers, planners, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Translate Lean concepts into practical, site‑ready procedures.
• Contribute to project assessments, training programmes and broader Lean transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on, site‑based experience in building or infrastructure projects with a main or specialist contractor.
• Comfortable working regularly on live construction sites and engaging directly with project teams.
• Practical understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination and project delivery.
• Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, curious and eager to learn through on‑the‑job experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with the Last Planner System (LPS).
• Knowledge of Takt Planning (preferred).
• Familiarity with PPVC, DfMA and productivity improvement methods.
• Experience with BIM.
• Proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or Navisworks.
