Lecturer - Cyber Security & Forensics

About the role

ITE College East is seeking a dynamic Lecturer to deliver and develop courses in Cyber Security, Digital Forensics and related IT disciplines. You will inspire students, bridge academia with industry, and support lifelong learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver curriculum covering on‑premise and cloud networking, system administration, IT security, digital forensics, penetration testing and programming.
• Facilitate e‑learning, enrichment activities and self‑directed study.
• Supervise student projects, competitions and internships.
• Maintain industry partnerships, lead consultancy projects and arrange regular industry attachments.
• Perform academic administration, student mentoring, outreach programmes and community engagement.
• Engage in research activities to support professional development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Security, preferably in the security industry.
• Strong passion for teaching and student development.
• Solid knowledge of networking hardware, operating systems, security concepts and virtualization.
• Ability to learn emerging security technologies quickly.

Required skills

• Networking: routers, switches, wireless access points.
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, macOS.
• Security tools: firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, antivirus, SIEM, IAM, web/app security.
• Virtualization: Hyper‑V, VMware, VirtualBox, Xen, KVM.
• Programming/Scripting: Java, Python, C#.
