Legal Consultant – Financial Services (Technology)

Axiom is looking for a Legal Consultant for Technology to join its growing team in Singapore and support Fortune 100 clients. The role offers a competitive compensation package and a range of benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Review, interpret and negotiate agreements with suppliers, advising on rights, responsibilities, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end negotiations and coordinate between Business, Legal, Sourcing and other experts to ensure timely execution of agreements.
• Interpret contractual requirements based on information from internal business partners.
• Negotiate standard and customized contracts to minimize risk while adhering to firm policies and regulatory standards.
• Analyze legacy legal documents for conformance with current policies, procedures and regulations.
• Provide guidance and subject‑matter expertise on documentation to internal business and functional partners.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients and business partners.
• Help develop and enhance legal knowledge‑management training materials and procedures.
• Conduct legal research on technology, intellectual property and contractual issues as needed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the financial services space, focusing on online platforms, digital payments or other tech‑related products.
• Significant experience negotiating contracts for technology and non‑technology transactions with third‑party providers (e.g., software licensing, SaaS, cloud outsourcing, market data, consulting).
• Strong knowledge of intellectual property, outsourcing, offshoring, software licensing, privacy and related regulatory and risk environments.
• Strong interest in emerging technology solutions and their impact on IP and technology law.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and legal research skills.
• Strong business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Proven ability to independently identify issues, analyze problems and provide viable solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and senior executives.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a high‑performance environment.
• A self‑starter capable of making autonomous decisions and working independently within a collaborative team.
