Senior Legal Counsel, Antitrust & Competition

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Antitrust & Competition to join our regional legal team in Singapore. The role is critical for navigating the complex competition landscape across APAC, managing a multi‑jurisdictional portfolio of more than ten markets while ensuring robust regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and advise on competition law matters across APAC operations, including antitrust investigations and commercial agreements.
• Support design, implementation and continuous improvement of the global competition law compliance programme, adapting it to local market nuances.
• Partner with senior regional and local leadership to assess strategic initiatives, competition risks and regulatory investigations.
• Provide high‑stakes advice on platform‑specific issues such as merchant parity, loyalty programmes, dynamic pricing and gig‑economy labour considerations.
• Lead competition law investigations and regulatory engagements, developing “Dawn Raid” readiness and response protocols.
• Translate evolving APAC regulatory developments into practical, business‑oriented guidance.
• Develop and deliver high‑impact training sessions for stakeholders worldwide to foster an antitrust‑aware culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of post‑qualified experience in competition/antitrust law, preferably from a top‑tier international law firm or fast‑paced in‑house environment.
• Qualification to practise in Singapore is preferred; strong understanding of antitrust regimes across APAC.
• Deep knowledge of two‑sided markets, platform economics and digital‑economy regulations.
• Proven ability to balance rigorous legal risk management with commercial objectives of a high‑growth tech business.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational abilities to manage multiple high‑priority projects across time zones.
