Legal Counsel – Capital Projects

About the role

AirTrunk is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Capital Projects team, supporting the rapid expansion of hyperscale data centres across the Asia Pacific and Middle East region. Reporting to the Senior Director of Capital Projects, you will work closely with legal, site selection, development and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and draft legal contracts related to property, planning, leasing and acquisition.
• Provide practical, commercial legal advice on a range of property and planning workstreams across APJ.
• Support the Site Selection team in developing and improving commercial arrangements, contractual frameworks and policies.
• Monitor emerging property, foreign investment and planning issues, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements.
• Advise on and help resolve claims, disputes and other legal matters arising from site selection and development activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including energy, construction, development and procurement, to align legal support with business objectives.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 8 years of real‑property experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in‑house environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, high‑value transactions and advise senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to assess advanced legal issues.
