Luxury Goods Appraiser – Handbags

About the role

Carousell Luxury is expanding its Merchandising team in Singapore and is looking for a detail‑oriented Luxury Goods Appraiser specialising in handbags. You will be at the front line of the authentication process, ensuring every high‑value item meets our strict quality and authenticity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the merchandising team in acquiring and authenticating luxury handbags.
• Conduct market research to provide pricing guidance for top luxury products.
• Manage end‑to‑end verification and authentication of incoming inventory.
• Meet with sellers to perform final authentication checks and negotiate acquisitions.
• Perform quality‑control inspections on all incoming items.
• Research new model releases to keep the internal knowledge base up‑to‑date.
• Deliver training sessions to improve the team’s ability to spot counterfeit features.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality‑control and authentication assessments.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects within the Operations team and collaborate with Logistics and Warehouse Operations.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline initial assessments of product authenticity and condition.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling and authenticating luxury goods, especially handbags.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with sellers and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment and process new information efficiently.
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy.
