Material Handler Specialist – Air Freight Operations

About the role

The Material Handler Specialist ensures accurate and timely movement of air freight in accordance with customer service standards and Singapore customs regulations. Working within DSV’s air freight operations, you will coordinate shipments, communicate with customers and vendors, and support continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Move air freight to and from designated locations while meeting agreed service standards.
• Handle all customer and vendor communications and internal shipment coordination with DSV stakeholders.
• Provide proactive exception management, follow‑up and problem resolution for service quality deviations.
• Generate invoices and verify shipment‑related cost accruals within KPI timelines.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects aimed at business process improvement.
• Ensure customs permit declarations comply with Singapore Customs regulations.
• Create and manage air export documentation and ensure shipments are executed according to ISO procedures.
• Maintain timely email communication and processing of external documents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Basic computer skills on Windows PC.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
