Mathematics Teacher (Secondary)

About the role

One World International School is seeking a passionate secondary Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging, inquiry‑based lessons across its Cambridge and IB programmes. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their full potential while fostering critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Mathematics lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS & A Level and IB Diploma curricula.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Create an inclusive, student‑centred classroom that encourages inquiry, collaboration and independent learning.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress using formative and summative strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records and provide timely reports to parents and school leadership.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues to support achievement and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teaching teams on curriculum development and share best practices.
• Participate in professional learning, departmental meetings, parent‑teacher conferences and extracurricular activities.
• Uphold safeguarding, child protection, health, safety and wellbeing policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed., QTS or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of full‑time secondary Mathematics teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS & A Level and/or IB Diploma Mathematics.
• Commitment to inquiry‑based learning, collaboration and academic excellence.
