Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Chiller Design (Feasibility Study)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and optimisation of HVAC and chiller plant systems. The role focuses on delivering sustainable, cost-effective ACMV solutions while supporting business development and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
• Develop and optimise system designs, equipment sizing and configurations for ACMV and chiller plants.
• Perform energy simulations to evaluate efficiency, cost and performance.
• Provide technical solutions for tenders and proposals, supporting business development teams.
• Lead Green Mark gap analysis and drive certification strategies.
• Manage regulatory approvals, submissions and grant applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders including clients, authorities and senior management.
• Mentor and lead local and regional design teams, fostering design excellence and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a sustainability-focused discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, with leadership responsibilities for senior-level roles.
• Professional certifications such as BCA Energy Auditor and SCEM; GMAP/GMAAP advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
