Mechanical Field Engineer – Fresh Graduate

About the role

The Mechanical Field Engineer will be permanently based on‑site at Seatrium Sembawang Shipyard, supporting the TenneT 2 GW Offshore Platform project through fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning phases. This entry‑level position offers a fresh graduate the chance to develop practical engineering capabilities while contributing to a flagship offshore HVDC platform.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical engineering matters between the Europe‑based engineering team and the Singapore site execution team.
• Assist site teams in resolving issues arising from mechanical drawings, fabrication layouts, specifications and structural details.
• Track, document and follow up technical queries, site clarifications, deviations, punch points and engineering action items.
• Communicate construction feedback, redlines and marked‑up drawings to relevant engineering stakeholders.
• Support monitoring and implementation of corrective actions in collaboration with package, fabrication and project teams.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Singapore; only local or permanent residents may apply.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under guidance from senior engineers.

Required skills

• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and fabrication documents.
• Familiarity with offshore mechanical interfaces, structural details and installation requirements.
• Basic issue‑tracking and documentation skills.
