MEP Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a specialised MEP Project Engineer to lead the tendering, design coordination and execution of Pneumatic Tube Systems (PTS) for hospital development and upgrade projects. You will manage the technical and financial preparation of tender documents and transition to on‑site supervision, routing design and testing & commissioning once contracts are awarded.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret hospital tender drawings, specifications and Bill of Quantities for PTS and related automation.
• Source and evaluate quotations from PTS equipment manufacturers, piping suppliers and sub‑contractors.
• Draft technical proposals, method statements, compliance matrices and system schematics.
• Coordinate detailed shop drawings, 3D BIM/Revit layouts and resolve clashes with other MEP services.
• Supervise on‑site installation of pneumatic lines, diverters, blower stations and user terminals, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
• Lead pressure testing, software configuration and integration of the PTS with Hospital Information Systems during the testing & commissioning phase.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Building Services.
• 2‑5 years of MEP construction experience, preferably with Pneumatic Tube Systems or medical‑gas automation in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction tendering processes (GeBIZ, BCA codes) and hospital environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM tools such as Navisworks and Revit for clash detection and 3D modelling.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and pneumatic schematics.
