Operator I, Manufacturing

About the role

The Manufacturing Operator I will work in a clean‑room environment to set up and run equipment used for producing GeneChip® probe arrays. You will ensure high‑quality output while adhering to strict regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production equipment according to defined parameters.
• Follow ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements and report any non‑compliance.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely, using appropriate PPE.
• Maintain cleanroom housekeeping standards and report spills, leaks, or exposure incidents.
• Communicate tool or product issues promptly to Technical Specialists and Manufacturing Engineers.
• Provide feedback on unsafe acts, poor work habits, or inappropriate behavior on the line.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education.
• NTC or equivalent qualification in an engineering‑related field.
• Ability to lift 40 lb without assistance and stand for a full shift.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom with strict dress and hygiene rules.

Required skills

• Equipment operation in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485:2003 compliance.
• Understanding of 21 CFR Part 820 requirements.
• Cleanroom protocols and PPE usage.
• Safe chemical handling and disposal.
