Payments & Regulatory Legal Consultant

About the role

Axiom is seeking a Payments & Regulatory Legal Consultant to provide expert legal guidance on payment services, digital wallets, e‑money and related financial products. The role involves advising on licensing, regulatory compliance and supporting new product launches across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory advice on payment services, e‑money, digital wallets, card schemes and merchant acquiring.
• Advise on licensing and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
• Support new product launches, market expansion, partnerships and changes to payment flows from a legal perspective.
• Interpret and monitor developments in payments and financial services legislation, regulations and enforcement trends.
• Engage with regulators, including MAS, to ensure ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in payments, fintech or banking regulatory practice.
• Strong understanding of payment services regulation and financial services frameworks.
• Experience advising on payment products, fintech business models and regulated technology businesses.
• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder‑management and project‑management skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business advice.
