Principal Consultant – Event Streaming & Kafka (Singapore)

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead enterprise‑grade event streaming solutions in Singapore. You will design, implement and optimise data pipelines using Confluent Kafka and related technologies, helping clients modernise their architecture and achieve real‑time insights.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end‑to‑end streaming solutions on Confluent Kafka across on‑premise and multi‑cloud environments.
• Guide teams in adopting event‑driven patterns, data mesh concepts and KRaft migration strategies.
• Deploy and manage Kafka clusters on AWS, GCP or Azure, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement streaming services such as Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry, REST Proxy and Confluent Control Center.
• Utilise Confluent Cloud, ksqlDB Cloud and Apache Flink for advanced analytics and real‑time processing.
• Monitor performance with Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk, and ensure governance through stream catalog, audit logs and RBAC.
• Collaborate with customers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Confluent Kafka (any distribution).
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python or Scala.
• Solid understanding of event‑driven architecture and data streaming patterns.
• Experience deploying Kafka on public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field.
