Project Manager – Mandarin Speaking, Payments & Banking

About the role

Smart IMS Inc is seeking a bilingual Project Manager to lead technology initiatives for a top global investment bank in Singapore. The role focuses on payments and banking solutions across China, Taiwan, and the broader APAC region, ensuring projects meet business goals on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver technology projects, creating detailed schedules and resource plans.
• Serve as the primary liaison for stakeholders, providing clear updates on status, risks, and issues.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of project managers, developers, and technical staff.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report financial performance.
• Coordinate with external vendors, manage contracts, and verify deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and best practices.
• Collaborate with Global Agile and DevOps teams to deliver APAC regional solutions.

Required profile

• Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to communicate professionally in both languages.
• Proven experience managing technology projects in payments or banking domains.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams across multiple time zones.
