Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) Manager

About the role

This corporate‑level position leads the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) function across all construction project sites. The manager ensures that quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements are consistently applied and maintained throughout every phase of the projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the quality system, conducting surveillance and random checks.
• Review and improve existing work procedures and the quality system for consistent, efficient control.
• Prepare and control quality reports and project quality records.
• Identify non‑conformances, monitor their status, and propose corrective actions.
• Lead the CONQUAS/Quality Mark and Green and Gracious Builder Scheme (GGBS) implementations and external audits.
• Drive ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management system implementation, maintenance, and internal/external audits.
• Collaborate with project teams to supervise subcontractor work quality, enhancing safety and productivity.
• Review and update construction Method Statements to ensure compliance with company policy, contractual specifications, and authority regulations.
• Plan and execute independent testing requirements in line with company policy and contractual specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar QAQC role within the construction industry, with a proven track record.
• Strong knowledge of statutory quality management requirements and construction productivity concepts.
• Interest in digitalisation and innovation within the construction sector.
• Auditor training in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with solid understanding of QAQC management procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team of QAQC engineers.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, culturally diverse environment.
• Highly motivated, self‑driven, and capable of working independently.
