Quality Engineer – Safety & Quality Management

About the role

The Quality Engineer will support the Manager in developing, implementing and continuously improving Satair's independent safety and quality system. The role ensures compliance with relevant civil aviation authority regulations, ISO 9001, AS9110 and AS9120 standards, and provides guidance on safety and quality matters across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the Safety & Quality Management System and training management.
• Maintain and enhance the Safety Management System from its current state to an operating and effective level.
• Develop, deliver and assess training programs for maintenance and quality personnel.
• Manage safety reporting, occurrence investigations and hazard identification processes.
• Monitor safety risk controls, corrective actions and report on safety performance.
• Maintain safety data collection and analysis systems to support safety intelligence.
• Issue certificates of conformity and authorised release certificates where applicable.
• Support supplier discrepancy handling, customer claims and warranty investigations.
• Provide backup support within the team and promote safety and quality awareness.

Required profile

• Experience with aviation safety and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of CAA regulations, ISO 9001, AS9110 and AS9120 requirements.
• Ability to conduct hazard identification, safety risk analysis and incident investigations.
• Strong organizational skills for managing training programs and documentation.
