Quality Inspector – Electrical / Mechanical

About the role

Currie & Brown is looking for experienced Quality Inspectors to support hyperscale and mission‑critical data centre projects. The role ensures that all electrical or mechanical installations are carried out in line with approved drawings, specifications, client requirements, quality standards and relevant codes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine site inspections of electrical or mechanical installations and verify compliance with shop drawings, specifications, ITPs and method statements.
• Monitor workmanship quality, material conformity and raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) when needed.
• Witness pre‑functional, functional, FAT, SAT and IST testing and support commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily quality inspection reports, maintain inspection records and quality trackers.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, commissioning engineers and client representatives to resolve issues and close out punch‑list items.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector on electrical or mechanical MEP installations.
• Ability to interpret approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans and method statements.
• Familiarity with international and local codes applicable to data centre projects.
• Strong attention to detail for identifying non‑conformances and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
