Quantity Surveyor – Electrical Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) supports cost management and contractual administration for both main and sub‑contracts throughout the project lifecycle, reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and value quantities to prepare progress payment claims, variation orders, subcontractor and supplier payments, and final accounts.
• Assist in regular cost reporting, budget monitoring and cost control to ensure effective financial management.
• Maintain documentation of site events, project changes and contractual matters to support variation and extension of time claims.
• Coordinate with site store personnel to track material usage and inventory.
• Review specifications, scope and contracts to provide cost and contractual advice to structural, architectural and M&E teams.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and cost comparison for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in technical and coordination meetings to identify cost implications and advise on cost escalations.
• Provide guidance on contractual obligations, risks and potential claims.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, tendering, cost estimation and measurement on projects valued at S$25 million or more.
