Quantity Surveyor Manager – Building Projects

About the role

The company, a leading Japanese A1 main contractor, is expanding its commercial team to support a strong pipeline of major building developments across Singapore. As a Quantity Surveyor (QS) Manager you will own the commercial performance, cost management and contractual administration of large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quantity surveying and commercial activities across major building construction projects.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Oversee contract and subcontract administration, including variations, progress claims and final accounts.
• Manage procurement, tender evaluation, negotiation and award of subcontract packages.
• Monitor commercial performance and identify contractual and financial risks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams on commercial and contractual matters.
• Lead, supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors and other commercial team members.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant QS and commercial experience in the building construction industry.
• Previous role as QS Manager, Assistant QS Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent senior commercial position.
• Main contractor experience is highly advantageous.
• Experience on healthcare, commercial, residential or mixed‑use developments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, variations, subcontract management and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
