R&D Project Manager

About the role

As a core member of Hegen’s Research & Development team, the R&D Project Manager will lead the end‑to‑end development and launch of new products and product improvements. You will work closely with Business, Quality, Supply Chain and external partners to translate innovation concepts into structured, market‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate innovation priorities into detailed development plans, milestones and deliverables.
• Lead New Product Development (NPD) and design‑change projects from concept through commercial launch.
• Establish and manage project timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies and risk‑mitigation plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders across R&D, Business, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and external partners.
• Drive project governance to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Oversee product launch readiness and transition from R&D to manufacturing.
• Partner with the Head of Innovation to improve SOPs, governance frameworks and project‑management tools.
• Manage the patenting process, NDAs and confidentiality documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project‑management experience in consumer goods, electronics, manufacturing or product‑development environments.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross‑functional projects from concept to market.
• Hands‑on experience with New Product Development, product improvement or engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder‑management, negotiation and influencing abilities without direct authority.
• Commercial and operational awareness to balance quality, cost, manufacturability and timelines.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency with project‑management methodologies, frameworks and tools.
• Risk‑management and mitigation expertise.
