Regional Service Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

The Regional Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing, repairing and testing a wide range of industrial gearboxes and power transmission equipment across the region. This position involves frequent travel to customer sites and requires strong technical judgment to deliver optimal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of service and repair for various makes and types of industrial gearboxes and power transmission equipment, including stripping, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, test‑running, reporting, assembling and packing.
• Diagnose root causes of equipment failures with minimal supervision.
• Communicate technical information clearly to customers to achieve the best outcomes.
• Travel regularly to customer sites and undertake on‑site work.
• Participate in OEM training and continuous learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter (trade qualified).
• Solid industry knowledge of gearboxes and power transmission systems.
• Strong customer service orientation and safety consciousness.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use workshop measuring equipment.
• Effective workload management with a results‑driven attitude.
• Basic computer proficiency and good communication skills.
• Dedicated, reliable, and able to work well within a team.
