About the role
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Engineer I to support the “Cities of Tomorrow” R&D project, focusing on resilient urbanisation and natural ecosystems. The role involves hands‑on work in both field and laboratory settings to generate data that informs climate‑resilient city design.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in conducting field and laboratory tests related to urban resilience.
- Develop and refine test protocols.
- Compile test results and maintain a structured database.
- Perform data analysis and evaluate outcomes.
- Support the preparation of budgets, technical reports and scientific papers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or environmental discipline.
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for report writing.
- Knowledge of Python and 3D‑modelling software is advantageous.
- Class 3 driving licence (Singapore) is a plus.
