Senior Business Data Analyst – Strategic Partnerships

About the role

As a Senior Business Data Analyst within Boku’s Data, AI & Analytics Team, you will support strategic partners across the APAC region through operational and data‑driven analysis, investigations, troubleshooting and reporting. The role blends technical analysis, commercial collaboration, and direct partner interaction, often requiring independent investigation in ambiguous situations.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate partner concerns related to conversion performance, churn, segmentation, behavioural trends and payment‑funnel optimisation; analyse large‑scale operational datasets to spot trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities; perform structured investigations and support troubleshooting across payment flows.
• Build reporting, dashboards and analytical models using SQL, dbt and Tableau; work with large‑scale operational and financial datasets across markets, payment methods and products; contribute to workflow automation and AI‑assisted tooling.
• Participate in operational meetings, present findings to internal commercial teams and external partners, follow up on issues, translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences and build strong relationships with strategic partners.

Required profile

• Comfortable operating with high ambiguity and autonomy.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical reasoning skills.
• Experience with BI tooling, SQL and modern cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Stakeholder‑management expertise, able to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work directly with strategic enterprise partners and a self‑directed learning mindset, especially around emerging AI tools.
