Senior Civil Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead construction activities for oil and petrochemical projects across Singapore, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and timely delivery. This role combines on‑site supervision, technical advisory, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical adviser on‑site for subcontractors, craftsmen and operatives.
• Review and verify plans, drawings and quantities, and monitor execution against specifications.
• Oversee material and plant procurement, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Develop cost‑effective solutions, prepare method statements, project schedules and execution plans.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, supervising staff, labour force and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance and project progress.
• Control quality, health and safety matters, and prepare regular progress reports.
• Interpret contract design documents, handle change orders and resolve design issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in civil engineering within the oil and petrochemical sector.
• Senior‑level (Senior Executive) with proven site management capability.
