Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer to provide on‑site, high‑quality technical support to corporate employees in Singapore. You will act as the primary knowledge expert, ensuring that end‑users experience seamless, secure, and uninterrupted productivity across a range of hardware and software platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on, on‑site support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Manage and oversee IT asset inventories, ensuring accurate tracking and lifecycle management.
• Handle the ticket queue, providing timely updates and resolutions for fluctuating case volumes.
• Provide on‑call support for high‑severity incidents and serve as an escalation point for the team.
• Assist in triaging and escalating system or network outages to minimize downtime.
• Execute change‑management activities within a high‑availability environment.
• Collaborate with partner teams and vendors on continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring of peers and new team members.
• Travel between local office buildings as required and occasional travel to other cities.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
• Authorized to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
• Fully onsite availability, based in a downtown office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non‑technical staff.
