Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Logicalis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation and support of network and security solutions for its clients. The role involves hands‑on work with routers, switches, wireless systems and load balancers, as well as client interaction and knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement network and security solutions, including routers, switches, wireless, load balancers and other devices.
• Racking and stacking of network equipment for mid‑size to large projects.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, configuration and traffic issues for client environments.
• Maintain client relationships, manage expectations and ensure delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to meet project schedules.
• Produce technical documentation such as low‑level designs, TDS, as‑built, UAT and SAT documents and obtain client sign‑off.
• Transfer knowledge to clients and internal teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in network design, deployment and security.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• CCNP certification required; CCIE is a plus.

Required skills

• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, Multicast, VSS, spanning‑tree, MPLS L3VPN.
• Wireless technologies: Cisco WLC, Aruba, Prime, MSE/CMX, DNAC, Ekahau Site Survey.
• Data‑centre platforms: Cisco Nexus VDC, VPC, FEX, VXLAN, ACI.
• Firewall and VPN: IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, IPS/IDS, Cisco ASA, Firepower, Fortigate.
• Network Access Control: Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE.
