Senior QC Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior QC Technician to ensure the quality and compliance of GeneChip arrays. In a collaborative laboratory environment, you will support product release and continuous improvement through rigorous testing and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QC testing of GeneChip products and review data to enable timely release.
• Prepare targets for Cytoscan and Axiom platforms.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 13485, MDSAP and 21 CFR 820 standards.
• Review and disposition QC batch records for QA release.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on QC equipment and schedule testing activities.
• Trend QC data, troubleshoot failures, and support corrective actions.
• Participate in investigations of product failures and new product method development.
• Maintain controlled documents and provide training to junior staff.

Required profile

• Diploma in a science discipline (e.g., Chemical Process Technology, Biochemistry) or equivalent wet‑lab experience.
• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Experience handling chemicals and working in a laboratory setting.
• Strong organizational abilities, good eyesight (no color‑blindness), and teamwork orientation.
