Senior Social Worker – Families for Life

About the role

Allkin Singapore, a community‑centric social service agency, is seeking a Senior Social Worker to lead its Families for Life programme. The role involves designing, delivering and evaluating family‑focused interventions, working closely with parents, grandparents and community partners across Ang Mo Kio and Bishan.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, development, evaluation and implementation of family‑related programmes.
• Conduct information and referral, home visits and collaborate with stakeholders and community partners.
• Deliver evidence‑based parenting talks, workshops and family events for parents and grandparents.
• Support outreach and engagement with family coaches, school leaders, educators, religious organisations and other partners.
• Conduct needs and risk assessments, provide expert consultations and oversee holistic case management.
• Lead case conferences, supervise intervention plans and co‑lead reviews of complex cases.
• Maintain accurate case documentation, approve assessments and mobilise volunteers for community initiatives.
• Ensure ethical standards, guide systemic service delivery and manage critical incidents.
• Support clinical competency development and lead organisational projects.
• Work flexible hours, including weeknights and weekends.

Required profile

• Bachelor, Postgraduate Diploma or Master in Social Work; registered Social Worker or Counsellor.
• Minimum 6 years of social work experience with casework, counselling, group work and community work.
• At least 5 years of experience in family life education (parenting, marriage counselling or group‑work facilitation).
• Training/accreditation in Triple P Level 2 & 3 (or willingness to attend training).
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin, Malay or Tamil an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, organisational and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, clinical and supervision skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and passion for supporting families, especially parents, grandparents and caregivers.
