Senior/Executive Internal Audit

About the role

This senior/internal audit position supports the internal audit function by conducting risk‑based audits, leveraging data‑driven techniques, and contributing to continuous monitoring initiatives. The role is designed to enhance audit effectiveness across multiple entities and regions within the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of operational, financial, and compliance audits in line with the overall audit plan.
• Prepare detailed work papers and documentation that demonstrate audit findings and compliance with internal audit standards.
• Identify and assess significant risks, recommending controls and improvements.
• Utilise data analytics and audit software to streamline audit processes and provide real‑time insights.
• Assist in implementing continuous monitoring processes to proactively detect risks and inefficiencies.
• Draft audit reports and presentations for senior management with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Communicate audit findings to business unit leaders and agree on remedial actions.
• Perform quality reviews of audit work papers and ensure adherence to department policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share best practices and support junior staff development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CIA, ACCA or CPA (or actively pursuing) preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal audit, risk, compliance or finance, preferably in a multinational environment within Malaysia or ASEAN.
• Exposure to regulatory audits or multi‑entity/business‑unit audits.
