About the role

As a Senior/Lead Software Engineer on the Secure Government Communications (SGC) team, you will design and build secure, high‑reliability systems that serve millions of citizens and critical national communications infrastructure. You will work across the full technology stack—from frontend experiences to backend services and cloud infrastructure—shaping architecture and long‑term technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical architecture and engineering strategy for critical public platforms.
• Lead complex, multi‑service initiatives and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Improve platform security, resilience, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Mentor and review code for other engineers, fostering technical growth.
• Identify high‑leverage opportunities and influence product and technical direction.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset and passion for solving complex technical problems.
• Experience delivering high‑impact software at scale, preferably in public‑sector or large‑scale environments.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.
