Software Engineer (Network Systems)

About the role

CSIT develops systems to advance Singapore's national security interests, handling real‑time distributed processing and high‑speed data pipelines. As a Software Engineer in the Network Systems group you will design, build and maintain scalable, mission‑critical solutions that process large volumes of data and control various network equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prototype new products that enhance existing capabilities or create new opportunities.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software solutions following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to ensure systems meet evolving operational requirements.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Go or Java.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in web application development.
• Familiarity with message brokers, REST API design and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
