Sr. Associate I, Surgical General Field Sales & Account Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate I to drive sales, promotion, and development of surgical eye care products within designated accounts. You will build and implement sales plans, support the patient journey, and position Alcon and its brands effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Own total IOL portfolios, develop account plans and execute them.
• Generate demand through bottom‑up strategies and manage contract negotiations.
• Provide end‑to‑end support for cataract customers and coordinate specialist roles.
• Liaise with experts for technical/clinical knowledge to generate demand and implement solutions.
• Initiate and drive local events that meet customer needs.
• Monitor and report on competitor activities.
• Convert competition using value‑based selling with product experts.
• Work in operating theatres during surgeries and submit daily activity reports using Salesforce and Pitcher.
• Participate in trade exhibitions, congresses, seminars and other marketing events.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in ophthalmology or medical devices within a surgical environment.
• Diploma in Optometry, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology & Informatics or related field; university degree preferred.
• English proficiency; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
• Understanding of cataract procedures, equipment, IOL offerings and surgical techniques.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and business acumen.
