Staff Collaboration Platform Engineer

About the role

Collaboration is the backbone of how our organization works. As a Staff Collaboration Platform Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, evolving, and maintaining the core collaboration systems that enable thousands of employees to connect, co‑create, and deliver.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise collaboration platforms, including chat, conferencing, file sharing, and email, driving technical roadmaps and domain‑level responsibilities.
• Drive platform resilience, performance, and reliability through advanced automation, proactive issue detection, and remediation.
• Implement AI‑powered solutions and integrate communication tools with core business workflows to streamline collaboration.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level engineers, providing technical reviews, architectural guidance, and oversight.
• Evaluate and optimise collaboration systems, balancing custom and off‑the‑shelf solutions while reducing technical debt.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with 4+ years of platform/systems/infrastructure experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one collaboration domain (e.g., conferencing, chat/messaging, bots/integration frameworks).
• Strong experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and system observability/monitoring.
• Experience with scalable architectures, containerisation, and identity/access management (e.g., SSO, RBAC).
• Proven leadership qualities, problem‑solving skills, and ability to provide technical guidance using system‑level thinking.
