Strategic Account Manager, Singapore

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to lead Abcam’s business in Singapore. The role focuses on growing revenue and awareness of our biological reagents by engaging directly with biotech, pharma and academic customers, as well as channel partners and key opinion leaders. The position reports to the Commercial General Manager, JAPAC and is fully remote based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted, long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers in biotech/pharma, academic professors, principal investigators and bench scientists.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive revenue growth, project pipelines and stakeholder engagement.
• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities across the Singapore market.
• Collaborate with Southeast Asia Marketing & Sales, Customer Support, Finance, Supply Chain and Digital teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Use CRM tools to plan, manage the sales pipeline, qualify leads and provide regular management reporting.

Required profile

• MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Microbiology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience selling science‑based solutions in the life‑science market to pharma, biotech and academic customers.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore market dynamics, business regulations and competitive landscape.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
