Tax Director

About the role

Our client, a leading investment management firm with a diversified portfolio of real assets and alternative investments, is seeking a Tax Director to shape and execute its global tax strategy. The role will provide senior tax advisory across investment, legal and deal teams, ensuring compliance and optimizing structures across fund and corporate entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of global tax strategies to optimize fund and corporate structures legally.
• Serve as the key tax advisor across investment, legal, and deal teams, providing structuring advice on new acquisitions and divestitures.
• Drive the end‑to‑end tax compliance cycle for all funds and corporate entities, ensuring timely filing of direct and indirect taxes.
• Establish and maintain robust cross‑border transfer pricing policies and documentation in line with regional regulatory requirements.
• Refine tax risk management frameworks, operational procedures, and internal controls across the global tax function.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive tax experience with exposure to fund structures, private equity, or alternative investments.
• Deep working knowledge of local and international corporate tax laws, regional tax treaties, and IFRS reporting standards.
• Experience handling tax complexities within private equity, infrastructure, real estate, or other alternative asset classes is highly preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CA, Singapore Certified Tax Professional (SCTP), or equivalent.
