Technician 2 – Engineering Services

About the role

We are looking for a Technician 2 to join our Engineering Services team, responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of building services within a large shopping mall environment. The role involves hands‑on work on plumbing, sanitary, electrical and chiller plant systems while ensuring a safe workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day operation, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Maintain and repair plumbing and sanitary systems, electrical fixtures and fittings, and the chiller plant.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors for both hard‑service and soft‑service tasks.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant M&E experience in a retail mall or hotel setting.
• Formal training such as Nitec in Facility Management or equivalent electrical/mechanical courses.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical systems and ACMV (air‑conditioning, mechanical ventilation).
• Proficiency with plumbing and sanitary installations.
• Understanding of chiller plant operation and maintenance.
• Basic competency in MS Word and MS Excel.
