Technician

About the role

The Technician will perform overhaul, rework, repair and associated operations on aircraft equipment and components at RTX's Singapore facility. Working both independently and as part of a team, the role supports high‑volume production while maintaining strict quality, safety and output standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform work at cell level to meet the production schedule, assembling, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, troubleshooting and testing aircraft components according to the Component Maintenance Manual.
• Promptly update repair cost estimates and ensure accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Collaborate with supervisors and support personnel to resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Adhere to Quality Management System requirements such as AS9110C and Part‑145, and comply with US and Singapore export control regulations.
• Participate actively in process improvement, health, safety and environmental initiatives.

Required profile

• NITEC, Diploma or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or related aerospace disciplines).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service orders, drawings and specifications in English.
• Computer literacy; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo training; candidates without prior aviation experience are welcome.

Required skills

• Proficiency with torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, bore and depth gauges.
• Basic troubleshooting and testing of aircraft equipment.
• Understanding of quality standards such as AS9110C and Part‑145.
