Technician – Mechanical & Electrical Assembly

About the role

Excelitas is seeking a skilled Technician to join its production team. You will work in a clean‑room environment assembling optical and electronic components for a range of high‑tech applications, from biomedical devices to aerospace systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly processes following detailed Assembly Process Sheets.
• Clean and assemble lenses according to customer specifications.
• Maintain clean‑room protocols and ensure compliance with contamination controls.
• Execute electrical and electronic tests based on Test Instructions.
• Verify work‑in‑progress inventory against system records.
• Receive kitting from store, distribute to production orders, and handle final packaging for shipment.
• Complete any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by leaders or supervisors.

Required profile

• GCE ‘O’ Level or Technical Certificate (or higher).
• More than 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts if required.
