Technician Officer – Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Technician Officer with a Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering to supervise contractors and carry out basic maintenance on instrumentation, control and automation systems at our construction sites in Singapore. The role ensures operational efficiency while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors on instrumentation, control and automation projects to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automated systems, identify faults and perform preventive maintenance.
• Conduct system checks on mechanical and automated equipment to minimise downtime.
• Prepare and submit detailed work reports, maintenance checklists and progress updates.
• Enforce site safety protocols for contractors working with mechanical and automated systems.
• Assist management with ad‑hoc technical tasks related to instrumentation, control, automation and IT systems.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Own transport and ability to travel between multiple sites.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in instrumentation, control, automation or electrical engineering, or a fresh graduate with interest in modern control systems.
• Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to varying site conditions.
