About the role
As a Vice President in Natural Resources Investment Banking, you will lead client‑facing execution and origination activities across Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, and Mining & Metals sectors. You will work closely with senior bankers to deliver high‑quality advisory, M&A, and capital‑raising solutions while managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Lead sell‑side and buy‑side M&A, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments from kickoff to closing.
- Own critical workstreams such as due diligence, risk evaluation, valuation, financial modeling, and strategic assessment.
- Draft and quality‑control core deliverables including pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, board materials, and investment committee memoranda.
- Manage due diligence processes, data‑room setup, Q&A coordination, expert calls, and site visits.
- Coordinate internal and external parties—coverage partners, legal advisers, accountants, lenders, investors—to keep transactions on schedule.
- Coach and develop Analysts and Associates, ensuring consistent standards and accurate work.
- Support senior bankers in client coverage, sector monitoring, and meeting preparation.
- Identify origination ideas such as portfolio optimization, joint ventures, asset divestitures, and capital‑structure solutions.
- Apply sector‑specific knowledge on commodity price dynamics, regulatory issues, ESG, and energy‑transition considerations.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality, information‑barrier, and other regulatory policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of investment banking experience with a proven track record in Oil & Gas and/or Power & Renewables transactions.
- Demonstrated experience leading execution of M&A and/or capital‑markets deals.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple live workstreams and prioritize under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
