Workplace Safety & Health Officer cum Environmental Compliance Officer (Construction)

About the role

The role supports the Project Manager in establishing and maintaining a robust safety and environmental compliance framework on construction sites. You will ensure that all staff and subcontractors operate in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible manner.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in implementing the safety management system to protect staff and workers.
• Support the rollout of the permit‑to‑work system and prevent incompatible works.
• Act as secretary for the project committee, chair meetings, and communicate site activities and required actions to staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections to verify compliance and drive continuous improvement of safety standards.
• Ensure site adherence to statutory safety regulations and internal safety rules, reporting any deviations to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Workplace Safety, Health and Environment or related field.
• Relevant WSH‑related qualification accepted by authorities.
• Valid registration with Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a WSH Officer.
• Valid registration with the National Environment Agency (NEA) as an Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO).

Required skills

• Knowledge of safety management systems and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Familiarity with Singapore statutory safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and generate compliance reports.
