Workshop Manager – Heavy Equipment & Maintenance

About the role

The Workshop Manager will lead the deployment, utilization and maintenance of heavy equipment on large‑scale infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Project and Construction Managers, the role ensures that all mechanical, hydraulic and undercarriage systems operate safely and efficiently while supporting project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage deployment and utilization of heavy equipment across bridge, viaduct and road projects.
• Lead maintenance teams and subcontractors, overseeing preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Control equipment costs, spare‑parts inventory and ensure timely procurement.
• Prepare regular reports and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards, liaising closely with the HSE team.
• Act as the primary liaison for Korean‑speaking executives, staff and partners, providing project updates in Korean to headquarters and regional offices.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, specifically supervising bridge/viaduct/flyover and road projects (Road/LRT/MRT/Viaduct).
• Technical expertise in erection of heavy structures.
• Experience with LTA projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in written and spoken Korean for executive liaison.
