Accountant – Financial Reporting & Cost Analysis

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our APAC regional hub. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledger entries, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and conducting cost‑revenue analysis to support fiscal forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Synthesize complex data into precise journal entries and business documentation.
• Lead the monthly closing cycle and generate detailed cost accounting reports.
• Perform rigorous general ledger reconciliations to verify line‑item accuracy.
• Gather cross‑functional information to validate financial events and implement robust internal controls.
• Act as a strategic advisor on budgeting, reviewing expenditures and recommending optimized funding levels.
• Evaluate balance‑sheet trends, communicate key variances to the controller group, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Manage the evolution of financial databases and automated systems, ensuring data inputs meet GAAP and SOX compliance standards during audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting; professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are highly regarded.
• Relevant experience in finance and accounting within a multinational environment.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and statistical data.
• Proficiency in preparing, examining, and verifying financial documents and reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a detail‑oriented, organized approach.
• Ability to work independently in a regional role while maintaining cooperative relationships.
