KYC Officer

About the role

Coinhako is seeking a KYC Officer to strengthen onboarding and compliance operations for its digital asset platform. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer & MLRO, you will conduct Customer Due Diligence, manage risk assessments, and support AML compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new and existing customers, including periodic reviews.
• Conduct due diligence on outsourced third‑party vendors and counterparties.
• Assess holistic customer risk and assign risk scores.
• Screen customers, evaluate alerts, and escalate risk issues promptly.
• Review Source of Wealth/Funds information and support Enhanced Due Diligence.
• Participate in AML compliance projects and ad‑hoc tasks delegated by compliance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance or equivalent (diploma in law considered).
• Approximately 2 years of compliance experience in finance, preferably with AML certifications (ACAMS or ICA).
• Understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain, traditional finance or capital markets.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and multitasking abilities; ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Adaptable to a fast‑evolving digital environment.
