Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support the firm’s financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and regulatory compliance. Working across global investment markets, the role involves coordination with teams in North America, Europe, and Singapore, especially during reporting cycles and audit deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all financial transactions accurately.
• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and organise financial files both online and offline.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support external audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.
• Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation for MAS regulatory compliance and support internal reviews.
• Manage office budget, petty cash, and expense tracking with proper approvals.
• Reconcile expense reports, invoices, and vendor payments.
• Coordinate fund and portfolio‑level financial reporting across time zones.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement new financial systems.
• Provide additional financial and administrative support, including ad‑hoc reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CA) are a plus.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role.
• Big 4 audit or accounting experience is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and excellent time‑management skills.
